Tuff is a 3 1/2 yr old male walker bear and lion hound. He is an excellent track dog, he will strike a hot track off the rig, is long legged and has a beautiful bawl mouth on the track. He has started a quite a few bear tracks for me he has a good nose for a cold track, throw in a few pack dogs to put some heat on and you've caught yourself a bear. I purchased this dog out of Arizona from a bear/lion guide who used him to guide lion hunts as well as bear. I personally have not had him on a lion as it is illegal to hunt them in California although from what I have been told the way he roots out a track is an asset in a lion hunt. I do have to say that tuff is not a finished hound although he is not far from it. He is very well mannered and has a gentle personality will load up and come on command I let him out to clean out before a hunt and he stays right around the truck. He is a beauty to watch run as he is incredibly graceful and if you enjoy listening to the race his bawl mouth on the track puts on a great show. He is neutered (the guide wanted to preserve his bloodline) and his tail is docked something I was not told when I purchased him. As far as trashy he is not.
